In addition to existing structures, the Network for Social Security coordinates the activities of various international agencies, countries and initiatives in the field of social security in order to facilitate the shared objective of universal social security coverage. It aims to:

• create a multi-country learning platform, which supports and enables the exchange and joint development of ideas. It also gives examples of best-practice conducive to issue-specific problem-solving across countries pursuing similar reforms. It will help in accessing technical and financial resources and stimulate operational research and impact evaluation.



• support countries in overcoming challenges associated with successful  social security reform implementation, irrespective of their current degree of implementation.



• collect, preserve and disseminate timely and relevant information through an interactive, frequently-updated, web-based system.
